Activity Guidelines for Adults

Increasing physical activity is easy. Activities like walking to the shops, playing with your kids, or even going for a bicycle ride can fit into your everyday routines.

The Government recommends that doing moderate physical activity for 30 minutes in 3 x 10 minute blocks can help us to improve health and wellbeing.

Doing activities like walking, jogging, cycling, aerobics and dancing will strengthen your heart, lungs and circulatory system. They will help keep your muscles and joints strong and flexible

Add-up your activities in periods of at least 10 minutes each. Start slowly... and build up.
