The street sports team delivers loads of activities such as:
At all sessions the street sport team will be there to offer advice, show you the new tricks and challenge you to competitions. If you do want to come along make sure you get a registration form signed and bring it along to the first session.
The street sport unit is a mobile activity vehicle that provides the following activities for young people aged 8 to 19 year olds:
- BMXing
- Skateboarding
- Inline Skating
- Football freestyling
- DJing
- Street Dance
- Playstation
- Dance Mats
The street sport unit will have a variety of ramps to provide a skate/BMX park, the park will including launch ramps, fly-offs, platforms, 2ft flat bank, 2ft quarter pipe and angle grind box.
The street sport team will be there to show you new tricks, help you create a DJ set, demonstrate dance moves, listen to your ideas and learn from you!
You could even design your own park layout and bring it along to a session so staff can help make it happen.
The street football pitch is a 25 x 15 metre inflatable footballing arena giving a real life size pitch. Test your skills against other young people and show us what you can do.
There are a range of games and activities related to the street football pitch such as:
- 5 v 5 Football matches
- Tricksters Sessions
- Freestyle Magic
- Target Practice
- Freekick Challenge
The Climbing Tower Unit consists of a 9 metre high climbing tower with overhangs and different routes of difficulty to cater for beginners to professionals. The wall, which caters for up to six people at any one time, comes with belays so young people, can belay each other.
